Day 2, September 15

We pray for Mike's complete healing. May the treatment plan chosen for him be the most effective in destroying every cancer cell in his body - especially those in his oesophagus, lungs, and lymph nodes - and may the cancer never spread any further. We pray that he experiences no serious side effects, complications, or infections throughout his treatment, and that his body responds well to every stage of his care. We pray for all the doctors, nurses, specialists, and everyone caring for Mike. Guide their hands, minds, and hearts, and grant them wisdom, clarity, and discernment in every decision they make. May they be compassionate, kind, and attentive, and may they always choose the treatments and care that will bring Mike the best possible outcome. We ask for Your strength, peace, and protection to surround Mike as he courageously faces each step of his treatment journey. Grant him hope, comfort, and unwavering faith each day. We also pray for our family. Strengthen us, unite us in love, and help us to trust completely in Your plan, knowing that You are with us every step of the way. May Your presence give us peace, courage, and the assurance that nothing is impossible for You. With faith and hope, we place Mike completely in Your loving hands and boldly ask for his complete and total healing. Amen.

Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us St. Charbel as an example of holiness. Help us to imitate the holiness he showed in responding generously to Your call to serve You as a monk and a priest. St. Charbel, you were exposed to examples of holiness from a young age. Along with the piety of your mother, the examples of your uncles helped to form you in holiness. You saw your uncles following God's call and you desired to serve God similarly. Pray that I may be inspired by holy examples around me! You did not hesitate to leave behind your home and worldly possessions to serve God in the monastic life. You served God faithfully in your religious vocation the rest of your life. Pray for me, that I may respond generously to whatever God may call me to in my life. Please also pray for the complete and total healing of Mike from cancer. St. Charbel, pray for us!

O St. Pio, We come to you today knowing that you are truly a miracle worker. As one who is close to Jesus, we ask that you pray for these our intentions: the complete and total of healing of Mike from cancer. Glorious, humble, and beloved Padre Pio. Teach us, we pray, humility of heart, so that we may be counted among the little ones of the Gospel to whom the Father promised to reveal the mysteries of His Kingdom. Help us to pray without ceasing, certain that God knows what we need even before we ask Him. Obtain for us the eyes of faith that will help us recognize in the poor and suffering, the very face of Jesus. Sustain us in the hour of trouble and trial and, if we fall, let us experience the joy of the sacrament of forgiveness. Grant us your tender devotion to Mary, mother of Jesus and our Mother. Accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage toward the blessed Homeland, where we too, hope to arrive to contemplate forever the Glory of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen St. Pio, we pray the prayer you composed for Confidence and Trust in God's Mercy: O Lord, we ask for a boundless confidence and trust in Your divine mercy, and the courage to accept the crosses and sufferings which bring immense goodness to our souls and that of Your Church. Help us to love You with a pure and contrite heart, and to humble ourselves beneath Your cross, as we climb the mountain of holiness, carrying our cross that leads to heavenly glory. May we receive You with great faith and love in Holy Communion and allow You to act in us as You desire for your greater glory. O Jesus, most adorable Heart and eternal fountain of Divine Love, may our prayer find favour before the Divine Majesty of Your heavenly Father. Amen. O Mother of Perpetual Help, with faith in your great love and compassion, we come before you today. You who never abandons your children, look with mercy on Mike in his need. We lay before you his sickness, pain, weakness, and all that troubles him. You know his sufferings, and you are our gentle comforter. We ask for your powerful intercession and for the healing touch of your Son, Jesus. Pray for Mike, O loving Mother, that he may be restored in body, mind, and spirit. Grant him strength, renew his hope, and fill him with peace in the midst of his trials. We trust in your maternal care and your unfailing help. Hold him close to your heart and lead him always to Jesus. OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP, hear our prayers and obtain for Mike the grace of complete and total healing. Amen.

Purest Virgin Mother of God, pray for us and lead us to your Son, Jesus Christ, Our True and most precious Grace. We, your children here on earth, dear Mother, are pledging our sincere devotion to you, as our Mediatrix to your Son, Jesus Christ. Come to us now and be our Mother, now and forever. Protect us from our adversaries, and lead us toward the Most Holy Life of Your Son. We now ask you to intercede for us, most lovingly. Never reject our pleas for Mike's complete and total healing from cancer but present them to the Most Sacred Heart of Your Son; help us to grow more in love for Him, our True Savior and Our Only Grace. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we call on you right now in a special way. It is through your power that we were created. Every breath we take, every morning we wake, and every moment of every hour, We live under your power. Father, we ask you now to touch Mike with that same power. For if you created him from nothing, you can certainly recreate him. Fill him with the healing power of your spirit. Cast out anything that should not be in him. Mend what is broken. Root out any unproductive cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection. Let warmth of your healing love pass through his body to make new any unhealthy areas so that his body will function the way you created it to function. And Father, restore him to full health in mind and body so that he may serve you the rest of his life. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
